DAMAGE TO COASTAL AREAS (MARINE DISASTER) AROUND IN OUR

Coastal areas in the coastal region is referred to as the interplay of lines between terrestrial and marine environments, have special characteristics that gosfer, towards land in limiting the influence of the physical properties of the sea and maritime socioeconomic sea while limited by the influence of natural processes and the consequences of human activities of the environment on land, the development of coastal areas at this time quite rapidly, it is viewed from the interest on the coast. Utilization of coastal areas in addition to providing results and benefits for the people who use but occasionally cause disastrous for the community. The development of coastal areas influenced by natural factors and non-natural. Natural factors that encourage the development of coastal areas, among others, the power that works such as wind waves, tides, currents. While non-natural factors are caused by human activities or a mixture of human hands that use the coastal area.
Natural and non natural factors contributed to the changes and damage to coastal areas. Changes and damage can result in erosion, abrasion, sedimentation and intrusion of sea power by using an intermediary (marine), and when the leave would cause loss and damage to coastal areas or on call as a marine disaster
The problems that can arise from the dynamics and development of coastal areas, among others:
  1. Erosion is a destructive settlement area, urban infrastructure and cause shoreline
  2. Land that may arise as a result of sedimentation in coastal areas and cause the rapid advancement of the shoreline that are not controlled
  3. Environmental pollution caused by waste from residential and urban areas, industry, sediments from rivers and damaging the ecology.
  4. Sea water intrusion in ground water reserves and also through the river channel
These problems can be a potential for damage continues and makes the beach so that will affect the productivity and use of coastal areas that ultimately impact on the communities around its coast. Each beach has a different character according to the genesis and structure of materials preparation and the process is thus the possibility of natural processes (erosion, abrasion, sediments and intrusion) and the level of vulnerability that occurs will be different.
With the existence of marine disasters, we must use water potentials become more frequent one of them is the beach area when not on guard and conserve the productivity of coastal areas will deteriorate and decline. So must the existence and preservation of coastal management techniques based on the level of vulnerability based on the characteristics and processes that exist in the coastal areas.
